The political economy research group studies a wide range of theoretical and empirical topics at the intersection of economics and politics. We have particular strengths in the study of historical political economy, cultural and institutional economics, and the political economy of development. There is a regular political economy seminar alternating internal and external speakers held on Wednesdays at 11:00am in the Department of Economics.
