Loren Fryxell
Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Economics
Loren is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford in the Department of Economics, Nuffield College, and the Global Priorities Institute. Prior to that, They did my Ph.D. in Economics at Northwestern University. They are an Economic Theorist interested in Normative Economics. They are interested in what a social planner should care about in principle (what they call normative foundations), which should guide what a social planner should care about in practice (what they call normative heuristics), which should guide what a social planner should actually do in specific situations (which they call normative design).
